Whatever the finished search is paying for · Bought fracture, one chaos target, one slam

Buy the fracture, then chaos the second mod

What to do on this page

  1. Set the league so the green links open the right Trade2 search.
  2. Read the question under Walk the tree. Click a green link, look at the cheapest listing, then answer yes or no.
  3. Type the three prices above before you spend anything. Continue only when the sale is higher than the cost.
  4. Yes means do the next step. No means stop.

Once the two-mod batch is too small for the bankroll, the product is a base that already has the expensive mod locked. You buy that fracture from someone else. Fracturing it yourself is a separate bet, and it loses when the orb divided by the hit chance costs more than the spread.

Hard stop: If the finished cluster does not clear the fractured base plus the chaos, do not start. A bad run on a popular craft spends the whole spread and more.

Re-price it today

No fixed fracture. Buy someone else's locked mod only when the finished cluster clears that base plus the chaos. On 18 Sep a Fracturing Orb was 8.67 Divine, so fracturing your own item failed this gate.

Cost to follow the tree
Fractured base + the currency to hit the second mod + one controlled slam. Re-price before a second omen.

Does this still make money today?

Use the same currency in every box, usually Divine orbs. Example: the finished item sells for 5, the base costs 1, and the currency you will spend is 1. You are 3 ahead, so continue.

Fill in all three prices.

Buy
A fractured item whose locked mod is one buyers already pay for. Not corrupted, not a vanity price. The second mod is what you will chaos for.
Sell this
Finished items with that fracture plus the second mod, at the cheap cluster. Settle a tier you would buy. The perfect tier is a different session.
Session cost
The fractured base, plus the chaos to hit the second mod, plus one controlled slam. Re-price before every extra omen.
Batch
One base. After the slam, search again. The next omen needs its own yes.

  4. DecideIs buying someone else's fracture cheaper than fracturing your own?
  5. DecideCan you hit the second mod you would actually buy for less than the extra sale?

Currency

Flip a currency while the prices differ

Early in a session the gold vendor or the Currency Exchange is sometimes cheaper than trade for one stackable currency. The profit is that gap. It closes the hour other people stand in it.

Batch magic items that already have two mods

The finished item is only worth more than the materials on the day you check. A magic item that already has two useful mods is the start. A white base you Transmute is a different, usually losing, craft.

Any

You already have an item

If it already has the mods buyers search for, list it. If it is a magic item with two of those mods and an open affix, it can enter the batch. A blank rare is a vendor.
