Six things to remember
The site will not pick an item for you. These are the checks behind every yes or no question.
Look up the sale first
Search the finished item before you buy anything. If nobody is selling it, do not craft it.
Sell a decent item
An item people are already buying is often better than chasing a perfect one.
Start from an item that is already partway done
Use a magic item that already has two good mods, or a fractured item someone else made. A blank item is usually a loss.
Stop when a craft misses
Vendor it or list it. Do not spend more currency hoping the next click fixes it.
Name the exact item
Decide the slot, the base, and the mods before you buy.
Check again every session
A craft that paid last week can be worthless today. Look up the prices again.
How to use Trade2 with this guide
- Search the finished item you want to sell, not only the base you want to buy.
- Look at several recent listings. One very expensive listing is not the price.
- Price the currency you will spend on the same day.
- If the sale is not higher than the cost, skip the craft.
- After each attempt, look the item up again before you spend more.
